100% British Castlemilk Moorit & Bluefaced Leicester 4ply 100g Skein

A fully traceable 50% Castlemilk Moorit & 50% Bluefaced Leicester yarn. The Castlemilk Moorit gives a soft feel and beautiful fawn colouring to the yarn, whilst the Bluefaced Leicester gives a silky soft handle, creating a luxurious and drapey yarn. This is a great natural yarn base which takes dyes well.

Our Castlemilk Moorit fleeces come from Maria and John's own Lake District flock and the Bluefaced Leicester fleeces from a farming neighbour just down the road on the outskirts of Ulverston.

For this yarn we worked with a fantastic Yorkshire spinner to push the boundaries of blending a shorter staple length like the Castlemilk Moorit with the longer staple of the Bluefaced Leicester in a semi-worsted spinning process to create a fine yarn.
