Join us at The Farmer's Arms on Saturday 1st July between 10am - 4pm for The Farmer’s Yarns Marketplace. A one day outdoor wool festival bringing together over 20 stall holders to celebrate the versatility of British wool and its many amazing qualities.

You’ll find everything from luxury knitwear to felting lessons.There’ll also be rare breed raw fleece available for hand spinning, sheep shearing demonstrations and some rare and native breed sheep for you to meet.

The day will conclude with a 'knit-working social' from 5pm in The Farmers Arms pub - food and drinks available all evening.

Refreshments and light lunches will be available throughout the day from The Farmer’s Arms kitchen, along with their open Honest shop and stalls featuring local artisans.

Workshop - Peg Loom Rug Making with Margueritte Flemming (Westfield Croft)

On Friday 30th June. Make a beautiful wool rug where you can work with various sheep breed wools for colour and texture combinations to suit. The peg loom system is a great way to create rustic, natural rugs simply using washed wool. Session is 10am - 2pm Cost is £60 per person including all materials Workshop will be held at Spark Bridge Village Hall, LA12 7RS

Fleece Felted Collar with Elisa Smith (KerdaWrakka)

On Friday 30th June. Using a unique shorn fleece you will be wet felting and needle felting a beautiful statement wool collar. Choose from a selection of fleeces to create your completely unique garment. Session is 10am - 2pm Cost is £60 per person including all materials

Needle Felted Grazing Landscape with SallyAnn Middleton (Naturalcraftings)

On Friday 30th June. Learn the fundamentals of needle felting using natural un-dyed fleece from a variety of sheep breeds. You will start by making some small practice sheep but by the end of the three hour session you will be taking home your framed (18 x 23cm) work. Tweed Weaving with Lake District Yarnwith Jan Beadle

On Sunday 2nd July. Make a beautiful piece of tweed using Lake District Tweed yarns. Jan is an expert weaver and renowned teacher so this is a great workshop for beginners and those who need some guidance from Jan. You will finish the day with 100% Lake District cloth that can be used for soft furnishings or craft projects.
